Chingrihuli Red Rice, 400g
This variety of red rice, locally called as Chingrihuli red rice, is grown by the farmers of West Bengal. It is parboiled which enhances its nutritional profile and gives the rice a nice texture.
Parboiled. Rich in antioxidants. This red rice is a good source of protein, fiber and vitamins. Being rich in the antioxidant anthocyanin, red rice is known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. The high fiber content also makes it good for weight management.
Uses: Eat as an everyday meal accompaniment. Soak the rice overnight. Cook 1 cup rice with 3 cups boiling water for 20-25 minutes.
