A crunchy, delicious and healthy addition to your snack menu! Black Rice puffs, commonly known as murmura, are roasted in sand over wood fire for a distinct earthy flavour. The rice is sustainably grown by farmers in West Bengal and is black in colour due to the presence of anthocyanin, an antioxidant.
Highly nutritious, black rice is rich in fibre, protein and iron. The high amount of anti-oxidant pigment anthocyanin in it is known to boost the immune system, maintain good health and prevent diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
Uses: Use the black rice puffs on their own or mix with other rice puffs to make a healthy Indian snack like jhal muri and bhel puri. Add them to your breakfast cereal and granola or make them into healthy sweets with jaggery like laddoos or chikki.
